Position Overview

Ultimate Staffing is actively seeking an experienced Medical Biller to join their client's reputable healthcare facility in Hartford County Connecticut. This role involves managing the billing process efficiently and ensuring all billing tasks are executed accurately and in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

  • Process and submit medical claims to insurance companies in ALLSCRIPTS.
  • Follow up on unpaid claims and work on claim denials to ensure maximum reimbursement.
  • Verify patient insurance coverage and ensure accurate information is recorded.
  • Communicate with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and patients regarding billing inquiries.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance guidelines and medical billing procedures.
  • Prepare and review patient statements for accuracy and completeness.
  • Handle billing adjustments, refunds, and collections as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare regulations.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in medical billing or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of billing software and electronic medical records.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and coding, ICD10

Required Work Hours

The position requires working Monday through Friday during the first shift hours.
